How Often Should My Child See a Pediatric Dentist?
Every child needs to see a pediatric dentist at least twice per year for a routine dental exam and teeth cleaning. Of course, if braces are being utilized, we will set up a schedule of regular appointments to check on your child’s progress.
At What Age Can Kids Get Braces?
Braces aren’t something that kids can wear until their permanent teeth come in after age 7. However, they may need some preparation prior to this, so be sure to have your kids seen by your dentist in Downey early on. Once a child is about 8-years-old, they become a candidate for braces after the permanent teeth erupt. Braces often work best when used with younger children as their teeth and jaw are growing in, but older children and teenagers also get fantastic results with braces. It’s actually never too late to get braces!
